Gaylord House is a wonderful place for your next event!

Whether it’s a company picnic / party, a meeting, or a place to host a customer Appreciation Day The Gaylord House is a beautiful place to hold your special event where your guests will experience a relaxing day and be able to enjoy nature at it’s best.  A picture is worth a thousand words, so please visit our galleries or of course, we invite you to contact us to schedule a convenient time to visit our home to see for yourself.

Built in 1865 by Gilbert Gaylord, the brick Italianate style farmhouse sits on 5 acres of gardens and pastures, surrounded by all the original farm buildings.  In 2015, the Gaylord House and Gardens was designated the first Historic Landmark in Kendall County, a great achievement for the county and the Gaylord House.

When visiting our home you and your guests will enjoy our stately grounds including our historical home which hosts a lovely wrought iron domed gazebo, perfect place to save your memories with pictures that can be saved for years to come. Our home also features a large red Corn Crib which can be used for your cocktail hour or small parties of 50-60 guests. Behind the Corn Crib is a large grass yard, where a tent would be placed to host your reception of up to 150+ guests. Nearby, the original hog yard has been converted into a sunken patio with a fire pit, a great place for your guests to mingle and celebrate. Finally the livestock barn lies in the rear of the yard, housing a protective llama and three alpacas. It’s not every day you see an alpaca!

They Gaylord House is conveniently located off Plainfield Road near Oswego and also only a short distance from Yorkville, Plainfield, Naperville, Aurora and surrounding communities.
